If everything weighs even a ridiculously high 2500 kg with the mass of gas plus the thruster system, the lift from the thrusters is >3x the mass of the vehicle. When you have more lift than mass, you can get off the ground, when it’s that much more over time you have spare air to flip and manuever - simple math really…."
