Tesla shuts down in-house vehicle wrap customization service

The wrap program, which launched in China in 2020 and the U.S. in 2023, is no longer available through Tesla's website.

Tesla has discontinued its in-house vehicle wrap service, marking the end of a customization option that operated for roughly six years in China and about three years in the U.S. market.

The company first introduced wrap offerings in China in August 2020 before expanding to U.S. customers in October 2023. During its tenure, Tesla periodically adjusted pricing and expanded the program's reach. However, the service has now been removed from Tesla's online shop, signaling a shift away from the in-house customization offering.

While Tesla has not publicly detailed reasons for the discontinuation, the wrap service appeared positioned as a limited-time offering from its inception. The company's decision to wind down the program aligns with its broader strategy of focusing on core vehicle production rather than specialized customization services.
