Tesla Semi headed to Europe with 550km range, 800kW charging
The all-electric truck will deliver 40-ton payload capacity and recover 60% range in 30 minutes via Megacharger.

Tesla's Semi is coming to Europe, bringing its electric heavy-duty truck to the continent for the first time. The vehicle will offer up to 550 kilometers of range when fully loaded at 40 tons gross combination weight, according to an announcement from Tesla Europe.
The Semi achieves 1 kilowatt-hour per kilometer energy consumption under those conditions. Its Megacharger system operates at up to 800 kilowatts, recovering approximately 60 percent of the truck's range in 30 minutes. The vehicle weighs 9,100 kilograms curb weight and includes an electric Power Take-Off system rated up to 25 kilowatts for auxiliary equipment.
The European announcement marks Tesla's expansion of the Semi program beyond North America, where the truck has been in limited production since 2023. Specific details on European pricing, availability timeline, or which markets will receive the vehicle first were not included in the announcement.
