Tesla Robotaxi expands hours to 6am–10pm daily, grows unsupervised fleet
The official Robotaxi account announced longer operating hours, a bigger driverless fleet, and smarter routing to cut wait times.

Tesla's Robotaxi service has extended its operating window, now running from 6am to 10pm seven days a week, according to a post from the official @robotaxi account on X.
"Unsupervised fleet is a lot bigger," the account added, signaling a meaningful expansion in the number of vehicles operating without a safety driver. The post also noted "upgraded intelligence in vehicle distribution and routing," which the company says will translate to shorter wait times for riders.
The Robotaxi service, which launched in Austin earlier this year as Tesla's first commercial unsupervised ride-hail offering, has been gradually scaling its coverage and capacity. The latest changes suggest Tesla is accelerating that ramp on multiple fronts simultaneously — broader daily availability, more vehicles on the road, and smarter dispatch logic.
Further details on the size of the expanded fleet or the specific routing improvements were not provided in the announcement.
