Tesla Home energy management now bundled with Powerwall
The new feature automatically tracks electricity rates, solar output, and weather to help lower utility costs.
Tesla Energy announced that Tesla Home, a new energy management system, comes included with every Powerwall installation. The system is designed to help lower electricity bills by automatically tracking electricity rates, solar energy generation, weather patterns, and other factors to optimize household energy use.
Tesla Home integrates with Powerwall's existing battery storage capabilities to create what the company describes as a managed home energy ecosystem. By monitoring real-time utility rates and renewable energy production alongside weather forecasts, the system can make automated decisions about when to draw power from storage, the grid, or solar panels.
The bundled approach means new Powerwall customers will have access to the management software without additional cost, expanding Tesla's energy offerings beyond hardware installation.
