Tesla browser hides full Apple TV app beneath web interface
A user discovered the Tesla in-car browser can launch native apps like Apple TV rather than just their web versions.

A Tesla owner discovered that navigating to Apple TV in the vehicle's browser triggers a fully functional native app rather than simply loading the website. "If you go to Apple TV in the Tesla browser, it will open up an actual Apple TV app, fully functional. Not just the site," the user noted on X, adding that "there are more apps than just the few that show on the apps page."
The finding suggests Tesla's in-car browser may have deeper integration with third-party applications than the vehicle's primary apps menu indicates. Whether this is intentional functionality or an unintended consequence of how the browser handles certain URLs remains unclear. The scope of hidden apps accessible through this method is also unknown.
