Starlink expands to Southwest Airlines fleet with in-flight WiFi
Starlink connectivity is rolling out across Southwest's aircraft, with 300+ planes targeted by end of 2026.

Starlink has begun rolling out across Southwest Airlines' fleet, bringing high-speed satellite internet to passengers in flight. According to posts on X, Starlink is already live on selected aircraft, with equipped flights displaying "WiFi Powered by Starlink" directly in the Southwest app.
Passengers on equipped flights can access high-speed connectivity from takeoff to landing for streaming, gaming, work and multiple devices. Southwest plans to equip over 300 aircraft with Starlink by the end of 2026 as part of the broader rollout.
The deployment marks another expansion of Starlink's commercial applications beyond consumer broadband. In-flight WiFi has been a longstanding gap in air travel, and satellite-based solutions like Starlink aim to provide continuous coverage across routes where ground-based infrastructure is sparse.
