Slovenia's infrastructure minister praises FSD as safe, efficient
The Slovenian official says Tesla's supervised driving system doesn't tire or fall asleep and can improve road safety.
Slovenia's Minister for Infrastructure and Energy Jernej Vrtovec endorsed Tesla's Full Self-Driving Supervised system, calling it "safe, efficient, and above all, an exciting glimpse into the future of mobility." He noted that "it doesn't get tired, doesn't fall asleep, and can significantly contribute to safer driving."
Vrtovec outlined FSD Supervised's capabilities, saying the system "can take control of steering, drive through intersections, change lanes, and perform numerous other maneuvers" while the driver maintains oversight throughout. He highlighted that Slovenia is among the first six European countries to adopt the technology.
The minister signaled further ambitions for autonomous mobility in the country. "Let's move to the next step—robotaxis," he wrote, suggesting Tesla's robotaxi plans may extend to Slovenia.
