A decompilation of Robotaxi app version 26.8.0 suggests Tesla is building out several new capabilities for its autonomous vehicle experience. The teardown revealed "LOTS of new image assets" alongside functional hints at upcoming features, according to a post on X by @Tesla_App_iOS.
Among the findings: a "Hey Grok" in-cabin concierge, likely leveraging Tesla's Grok AI assistant for voice commands and passenger interaction. The code also points to UWB auto-doors with a live ingress overlay and obstruction lockouts—suggesting the vehicle can detect obstructions and prevent door operation if something is in the way.
En-route cabin remote controls appear in the code as well, hinting at passenger ability to adjust lights, music, and presumably other in-cabin settings during a ride. The specifics of which features will ship, and on what timeline, remain unclear. Decompiled code often contains work-in-progress features that may or may not reach production.
