Model S and Model X owners with Hardware 3 who have been waiting for Full Self-Driving v14 Lite may see the update arrive very soon. At Tesla's Cybercab launch event, Ashok Elluswamy, Tesla's director of AI, was asked about the ETA for v14 Lite on those vehicles. "Oh, I thought it was supposed to go out last week," Elluswamy said, according to Ryan Clark's account of the conversation.

The comment suggests the rollout is imminent, though no specific date has been confirmed. FSD v14 Lite is a lighter version of the full self-driving suite designed to work with older hardware, making it available to a broader installed base of Tesla vehicles that lack the newer Hardware 4 or 4.5 systems.

Elluswamy's offhand remark at the public event offers the closest timeline hint yet for when Model S and X owners on HW3 can expect access to the more advanced autonomous driving capabilities.

"For my @Tesla friends – and specifically Model S & X owners with HW3 who are waiting on FSD v14 Lite – I spoke to @aelluswamy at the Cybercab launch, & when I asked for an ETA on v14 Lite for S/X owners, he said, "Oh, I thought it was supposed to go out last week." So: soon! 🙌"X · @DMC_Ryan
